The membership year is from 1 April and no discount / rebate may be taken for any reason, except that members paying in full before 31st December may renew at April 2009 rates.

Members who join during the membership year are entitled to pro rata rates. All new members must sign a direct debit to cover all their membership and flying charges.

 

All flying members (Full, Honorary, Cadet/Junior and Student) are required to pay the BGA Capitation fee in addition to their membership in April or upon joining. This is currently set at £26.

 

Members who obtain written confirmation, from either the BGA or another club that their capitation fee is being paid by another club may have this fee credited to their flying account.

 

The 6 month DD plan is offered to all members but existing members who pay quarterly by DD (not cheque or credit card) may continue to do so.

All facilities fees are for one full year commencing on 1 January. As places are limited they are offered by arrangement with the committee and CFI only. No refunds are available. VAT at current rates will be added to all prices when invoiced to any form of company.

Soaring tickets must be paid for in advance. An unlimited number of tickets may be purchased. Tickets may used on any day of the week. Gliders may be reserved. Details in separate leaflet.

 

MOTOR GLIDER

 

£90 per Hobbs hour irrespective of engine time.

Purchasers of courses may exchange tow height for time in the motor glider.

 

TUG FLYING

 

£125 per hour subject to insurance restrictions and only by arrangement with the Tug Master.

Upgrades are available from Trial Lesson and Intro / Intro+ courses to Basic and Intensive courses.

 

The Intensive package is offered at a subsidised price to help train new members to solo standard. It is expected that pupils who take advantage of this exceptional deal will become full members when they complete their course. Those joining the club after an intensive course are offered a discounted  payment scheme for the membership fee.
