The AGM will take place at 1800 on Saturday 15th April, at a local venue. Full details will be sent to members 3 weeks before the meeting. This is an excellent opportunity to meet fellow members and discuss how our club can develop.

There will be a briefing by Richard C (CFI) on Friday 24th Feb 2023 at 19:00. This will be a zoom briefing and is for anyone that might be interested in the March expedition. Please attend if you are planning to come, A link to the briefing will be posted here a few days after the briefing.
The Denbigh Expedition offers ridge, wave and thermal soaring. Llewenii Parc airfield has a long tarmac runway and is less than 4 hours from Booker.

The Honourable Company of Air Pilots is offering two types of scholarship in 2023 for those who might not have the resources to pursue their flying aims. The Gliding Scholarship offers 5 days of training, candidates must be aged 16 on 1 July 2023. The PPL Scholarship offers up to 45 hours of training, candidates must be aged 17 on 1 June 2023. There is no upper age limit for either scholarship.

Our refreshed BGC website went live on 24th January 2023. There is still a bit of tidying up to do, and some new content to add. The site is now much easier to update, so hopefully we will keep it refreshed with new information. We hope that this new site will accurately reflect what the club has to offer. It has been created by a group of volunteer club members, it was only through the help of fellow club members, both on and off the committee, that we have been able to get the site up and running.
